Honouring the Kogi Mamos in their Quest.

For the indigenous peoples living in Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta; the Kogi, Wiwa, and Arhuaco Kankuamo, sustaining the balance of the spiritual and physical world is their sacred task. They are guardians of the earth and have managed to live in harmony with the planet for hundreds of years.

For these four indigenous groups, the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta is the beating heart of the world, the spirit's temple, and is where wealth and sustenance of the spirit is. Likewise, in the Sierra Nevada, dwell the spiritual father and mother of water, wind, fire and earth of mankind who sustain life on this planet.

The Mamos (highly trained ritual priests) have felt that it is the time to teach and share, among different cultures, the spiritual knowledge that leads to a new consciousness.

It's time to listen and learn from our elder brothers. In their wisdom are ancient records of human history and ancestral memory that remind us how to live in harmony, which contributes to our transformation as a human race and invites us to a new and conscious way of living.

"The Dawn of a New Time" Spiritual Gathering of the Four Indigenous Peoples
of the Sierra Nevada of Gonawindua
August 18th to 22nd, 2011
Nabusimake-Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia

As many of you know, Drunvalo Melchizedek has been talking about the Kogi and Arjuacos for many years and how they have been concerned about the actions of "the younger brother"... those of us living in the technological worlds. Now, with the world in chaos in so many way, our Elder Brothers, the Kogi and Arjuacos, are calling out to us and an invitation has been sent forth from Mamos Kuncha as follows...

"Well… how to think of this… if we were to meet with our brothers and sisters, at the level of the origin, established by our mother, at that level it will be so we settle our spirits, to dialogue, to strengthen the continuance of our thoughts; for that the opportunity will have arrived this year. Then, if the great nations, if their spirits, if the ones who are thinking towards the Sierra Nevada could settle down, in this manner at the spiritual level, at the level of the mother, so we could take care of each other and live together, only then the possibilities to understand each other (different cultures) would arise, looking forward the thoughts to never end.

Therefore, I will be here in the land of the indigenous people, waiting for the great nations, those who are watching over with their spirits, and those who are taking care of the thoughts … This is how we think. I only say that. In the Sierra are also the spirits of all human kind."
